Margaret Shelby Clardy Margaret Shelby Clardy, 93, Clarksville, died Friday, January 18, 2008, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 2 pm Sunday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Paul Moody and Rev. Karen Barrineau officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm today and from noon until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 20, 1914 in Montgomery County daughter of the late John Thomas Shelby and Laura Seay Shelby. She was a member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband J. L. Clardy, Jr and sisters, Ruth Key, Thelma Morris, Audrey Johnson, Annie Allen, Frances Lee, Maude Edinborough, and Etha Gaisser and brothers, John and Thomas Shelby. Survivors include sons, James H. Clardy and wife Joanna of Austin, TX, Dr. Richard L. Clardy and wife Suzanne of Augusta, GA; and John Wayne Clardy and wife Glenda Appleton Clardy of Clarksville; a sister, Lucille Lee of Springfield, TN; and grandchildren, Dr. Richard K. Clardy, Dr. Dean Clardy, John Wayne Clardy, Jr., Melanie Clardy Herd, Mary Clardy Beshero, Lisa Clardy Rushworth, Caroline Clardy Bond, and Ricki Clardy Holleman; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Dr. Richard K. Clardy, Dr. Dean Clardy, John Wayne Clardy, Jr., Mark Holleman, Michael Bond, Eddie Allen, and Charles Dean.
