NASHUA, NH - Harvey L. Baril, 90, a resident of Nashua, NH died Thursday, January 17th in the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Lorraine (Chretien) Baril with whom he was married for 64 years.
He was born on August 11, 1917 in Victoriaville, Canada, a son of the late Emile and the late Helana (Tardiff) Baril. Mr. Baril moved to the United States at a young age and was educated and married in Maine.
Mr. Baril was employed by the Raytheon Company in South Lowell, where he worked as a methods engineer for 32 years. He retired and moved from Lowell, MA to a home in Nashua, NH.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Richard Baril and his wife Denise of Moultonboro, NH, Marc Baril and his wife Maureen of Hollis, NH, and Michael Baril of Nashua, NH; four grandchildren, Stacy Ingram and Brenda Martin both of Milford, NH, James Baril of Durham, NH, and Christopher Baril of Hollis, NH; two great grandchildren, Nichole Ingram and Avery Martin; many nephews and nieces.
He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. Mr. Baril enjoyed watching the Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots and eating ice cream.
Calling hours have been omitted. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut, MA. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, MA.
