Lucilla L. (Bedford) Woolner, 91, of New Bedford died January 15, 2008 the Oaks Nursing Home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Ellis R. Woolner.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Ellverado and Lucilla (Edmundson) Bedford, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Woolner was formerly employed as a cloth inspector at Berkshire Hathaway for many years until retirement.
She was an active member at the Council on Aging Senior Center in Downtown New Bedford.
Survivors include her daughter, Lucilla E. DeMello, and her husband Eric J., of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Kevin E. DeMello and Kimberly E. DeMello, both of New Bedford; two great-granddaughters, Kayla Ines Macedo and Aimee Lillian Macedo, both of New Bedford; and a nephew, George Saulnier of New Bedford.
