Roseanne E. (McHugh) Barker of Dartmouth died January 16, 2008.
She was the wife of the late Walter T. Barker.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John F. and Roseanna (Braken) McHugh, she lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church in North Dartmouth.
Mrs. Barker was formerly employed as receptionist and administrative assistant at Bishop Stang High School for over 25 years.
She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club and a past member of the Legion of Mary and the New Bedford Country Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy C. Lawrence, and her husband Jeffrey, of New Bedford; a step-daughter, Barbara J. Martin of Fairhaven; a sister, Margaret Norris of Dartmouth; 3 grandchildren, Tara Bolduc, Jay Lawrence and Jonathan Lawrence; and 3 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Joshua and Owen; a niece, Erin McHugh and 2 nephews, John F. Carney and Hugh J. Carney.
She was the sister of the late Mary M. Carney, James F. McHugh, John F. McHugh, Jr. and Elizabeth J. McHugh.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Saturday, January 19th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday, January 18th from 3-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Roseanne E.
