Timothy M. Stairs, age 43, of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Friday January 11, 2008.
He was born in Lowell on December 1st, 1964, the beloved son of Ms. Eileen (Mullen)(Stairs) Wood, who survives him of Lowell, and the late Francis Stairs.
A lifelong Lowell resident, Timmy attended Lowell Schools. He was employed in the construction field for many years, a trade passed on by his brother, Steve. He loved his work, and was very dedicated to his job where he was very savvy with his hands.
According to the family, Timmy will always be remembered for being someone to rely-on. As quick as the phone rang, Timmy, without hesitation, would be there to lend a hand regardless of what the task was. Timmy will always be remembered as an honorable father, son, brother and friend. He was also an avid football fan.
Besides his mother, he is survived his beloved longtime companion, Virginia McGuire; loving and dear father of Timothy, Jr., Meghan, and Makaille; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Paul Stairs, and Steven & Linda Stairs; five sisters and three brothers-in-law: Diane Stairs, Carol & Billy Crowell, Deborah & Carmelo Rosado, Mary Jane Stairs, and Darlene & Paul Brunelle, all of Lowell; his aunt, Marguerite Fecteau of Lowell; he also leaves behind dear friends, Bob & Kathy Ings, he was like a son to them; also many loving nieces & nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews, and cousins.
He was also brother of the late Linda (Stairs) Wilmot, uncle of the late Kenny Davidson, and brother-in-law of the late James Zipps.
Visiting Hours for Timmy Stairs will take place Thursday at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME-295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral to take place Friday morning with procession to begin at the Funeral Home at 8:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Rita's Church on Mammoth Rd. in Lowell at 9:00 AM. Interment to follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
