Mary C. (D’Angelo) Saia of Waltham, formerly of the North End and Belmont, died Friday after a long illness. She was 69.
Mrs. Saia was born and raised in the North End and was the daughter of the late Baldassare and the late Maria (Spezzano) D´Angelo.
She lived in Belmont for many years where she worked in the public school system. She lived the past 27 years in Waltham.
She is best remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother. She cared especially for her husband, Joseph, who suffered a stroke 18 years ago, and for her children.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons Joseph and his wife Susan, Anthony, and one daughter Lorraine. She also leaves two sisters: Gina Saia of Waltham and Angela White of Belmont. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by Francis “Sonny” D'Angelo, Lorenzo “LaLa” D'Angelo and Irene Marzino.
Friends may visit Monday from 9 thru 11 AM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
Her funeral service will be conducted at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday at 11AM.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
