Mrs. Emily E. Connors, age 98, of Woburn formerly of Middleboro, died January 12th, at the D´Youville Senior Care Center of Lowell following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph H. “Harry” Connors. Born in Chicago, IL she was the daughter of the late Kazimar and Sophie (Valevich) Young.
Mrs. Connors was a resident of Woburn for many years and was mostly devoted to her loving family. She enjoyed and cherished spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, traveling and spending the sumer months at her home in Essex, MA. Mrs. Connors worked for several different companies and business as a bookkeeper over the years.
In addition to her late husband and parents, Mrs. Connors is predeceased by her brother, Alozoir Young. She is survived by her children, Shirley Devine of Bedford, Barbara Green of Seabrook, NH and Joseph H. Connors Jr. of Lunenburg. She is also survived by 19 Grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is further survived by her brother Alphonse Young of Brockton and longtime family friend Thomas Meade of Woburn.
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin- Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Friday, January 18th, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church 851 Main St., Woburn, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, January 17th, from 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Boston Catholic Television Center, 55 Chapel St., P.O. Box 9109, Newtonville, MA 02460.
