Obituary

Grace B. Riley, 84, of Coolridge Avenue died Sunday, January 6, 2008 in
Englewood, Florida. She was the wife of the late Robert Riley.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John V. and Grace M. (Bartley)
Croghan, she lived in Smithfield for nearly 40 years.

Mrs. Riley was formerly a member of St. Philip Women’s Club, Smithfield
Youth Hockey-Women’s Auxiliary, Pack Leader for the Greenville Cub Scouts,
Pack #4. She was past president as well as first female president of the
H. Bain School Council in Cranston. In Placida, where she lived, she served as Vice President of the Gasparilla Ladies Club for many years, was an active member of the Boosters Club and Gasparilla Homeowner’s Association.

She was much loved and deeply appreciated by a daughter, Susan K. Riley of Cummington, MA; three sons John V. Riley of Goshen, MA; William B. Riley of Milford, CT and Kevin D. Riley of Greenville, her daughters-in-law
Catherine and Renee, her grandchildren and a niece, Joanne Brochu of East Providence. She was the mother of the late Robert Riley, Jr. and sister of the late Helene Cameron and Hubert Croghan.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 19th at 8:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation Friday, January 18th, 4-7pm. Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
