William Allen "Bill" Dent, 44, of Fitzgerald died Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Dorminy Medical Center as a result of an automobile accident.
Memorial services will be held 1 PM, Monday, January 14 at Anderson Memorial Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, with Pastor Norman MacKenzie officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery at Akron, Ohio.
Mr. Dent was born March 6, 1963 in Barberton, Ohio to Jerry Allen and Donna Mae Butzer Dent. He is the former owner/operator of All-pro Mechanical Contractors in Akron, Ohio. Moving to Fitzgerald two years ago, he was currently working with Norman MacKenzie Construction. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Dent is survived by his daughter: Melissa M. Dent of Fitzgerald; son: William Allen "Billy" Dent, II of Fort Bliss, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law: Phillip & Christine Dent of Barberton, Ohio; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Deborah Dent & Doug Cinalt of Akron, Ohio, Diane & Van Melroe and Dawn & Lanny Hitchcock all of Texas; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
