Obituary

**ANNOUNCEMENT**
The memorial service for Hope has been postponed until Tuesday, January 15th at 11 a.m. due to the storm.


Hope Gregory (Taplin) Pfeifle, 48 of Franklin died January 8 in her home of cancer in the care of her husband of 19 years, Thomas Nash Pfeifle.
Born in Boston, May 31, 1959 the daughter of Franklin P. Taplin of South Hadley and the late Nancy (Stearns) Taplin, Mrs. Pfeifle was raised in South Hadley and had lived in Franklin for the past 14 years.
Hope was a graduate of Skidmore College and received a MA from Boston College in University Administration.
Most recently, she had worked for the Stonehill College Library as a librarian’s assistant.
She was a loving and devoted mother, loyal friend and extraordinary wife and companion.
She loved sailing and being on the water at her Maine summer home.
In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her daughters, Sarah Lydia Pfeifle, Kimberly Ann Pfeifle and Mary Elizabeth Pfeifle, all of Franklin.
She is also survived by her brother, Dana H. Taplin and his family of Brooklyn, New York, and her sisters, Carol Taplin of West Roxbury and Victoria L. Delaney and her family of Chevy Chase, Maryland.
She is also survived by many aunts and uncles and cousins.
DUE TO THE SNOW STORM, her memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 15 in the Franklin Federated Church at 11:00 a.m.
Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellesley.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St., Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the VNA Care Hospice 175 Highland Ave., Needham, MA 02492 or Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Oncology Dept., 1 Deaconess Rd., Boston, MA 02215.
