Roland N. Bruneault, 71, of Newland Ave., Woonsocket, died Wednesday at Landmark Medial Center. He was the former husband of Suzanne C. (Poirier) Bruneault, of Woonsocket.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Albert and Germaine (Coupain) Bruneault. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Bruneault worked as a machinist for the Foxboro Co. for over 28 years before retiring several years ago.
He enjoyed playing cards and had a particular interest in classic movies. Roland cherished spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
In addition to his former wife, he is survived by a son, Dennis R. Bruneault, of Blackstone, two daughters, Denise S. Brochu, of Blackstone, and Wendy-Lee M. King, of Woonsocket. He was the brother of Roger Bruneault, and Claire Defond, both of Woonsocket, and the late Raymond and Walter Bruneault, and Jeanne Fugere. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be Monday at 9:30am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
