Nancy L. Barboza, 72

Nancy L. (Heino) Barboza, 72, of Norton formerly of Easton died on Tuesday January 8, 2008 at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Robert R. Barboza, Sr. to whom she was wed to on December 18, 1954.
Born in Easton, MA on October 1, 1935 she was a Daughter of the late Emo and Elma (Noponen) Heino.
She grew up in Easton and was educated in Easton Public Schools. Mrs. Barboza had worked in various capacities at Johnson & Johnson in Taunton for 10 years before retiring and had formerly been employed at the former Fernandes Supermarket in Norton.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton, Nancy enjoyed volunteering her time at North Woods in Taunton. Her hobbies included crocheting, bird watching, reading, shopping trips to Wal-Mart and walks taken in the cranberry bogs near her home. Her family will always remember her exceptional cooking and baking skills and for the pleasure she received from attending events involving her grandchildren.
Mrs. Barboza had made her home in Norton for over 45 years and was a former resident of Easton.
In addition to her beloved husband of over 53 years she is survived by her devoted children; Nancy M. Roderick and her husband Mike of Greenville, Rhode Island, Robert R. Barboza, Jr. and his wife Karen of Dighton, Steven A. Barboza and his wife Diane of Lakeville and David J. Barboza and his wife Joyce of Easton, she was sister of Raino Heino of Brockton, Gilbert Heino of Easton, Elsie Tomawski of Taunton and the late Albert Buteau, also survived by her devoted grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Heather, Casey, Seth, and Tyler as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday January 12th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 11th from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the American Lung Association 61 Broadway New York, New York 10006.
