Obituary

Callie Milton Palmer, 61, of Huntsville died Monday. She was born April 13, 1947, to the late Melchi Milton Sr. and Lillie Milton in Huntsville. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Union Hill P.B. Church. She served many years as a choir member, Sunday school teacher, secretary and mother at Antioch P.B. Church. She later joined Little Indian Creek Church and continued serving the Lord until the Lord called her home. Callie's formative years were spent at Council Training School. She was a chosen worker by God, never meeting a stranger spreading her love at Wal-Mart and Burlington just to name a few. In her last days she worked at Target and Custom Chip Connections, where she dedicated 15 years of service. Callie leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Monica Hambrick of Huntsville; three sons: Michael Anderson of San Diego, Melvin Anderson of Huntsville and Maurice Anderson of Charleston, W. Va.; five sisters: Odell Kelly, Jessie Franklin, Mozelle Thompson, Georgia Kirkland and Earlean Edwards, all of Huntsville; and three brothers: Tommie Milton, the Reverend Sammie Milton of Huntsville and Charlie E. Milton of Charleston.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday from Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church with the Elder Oscar Montgomery officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Palmer will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
