OXFORD/LEICESTER: Matthew J. Dorr,42, of 9 Leicester St., died suddenly,
Monday, Jan. 7 at his home, following a lifelong battle with diabetes.
He leaves his children Kelci T. and Benjamin A. Dorr and his former wife
Christine I. (Trzcinski) Dorr all of Rochdale, his mother Nancy L. (Luoma)
Dorr of Rochdale, a brother Michael J. Dorr of Sacramento, Calif, three
sisters Sandra M. Wilson and her husband James and Laurie E. Peltier and her
husband Thomas all of Leicester, Karen A. Car and her husband Richard of
Weare, N.H., several nieces,nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Matt was a sous chef at several colleges, restaurants, and nursing homes in
the Worcester area for over 20 years. He graduated from Leicester High
School and later attended Johnson & Wales in Providence, RI.
He was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed snow shoeing and fishing
with his two children.
He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Arthur J. Dorr who died in
2005.
Private funeral services will be held in the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME,
1131 Main St., Leicester with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester.
Calling hours are Friday, Jan. 11 from 4 to 7p.m. in the funeral home. In
lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Matt Dorr Children's Fund,
