In New Bedford, January 7, 2008 Merlyn E. (Boyce) wife of the late Otto A. Shaw. Born in North Dighton she lived for 25 years in Falmouth. A member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church in Falmouth she volunteered for the American Red Cross; the Falmouth Historical Society and the Falmouth Council on Aging, for which she was honored twice by the Mass. House of Representatives for her volunteer work. Merlyn was the mother of two sons, Donald Shaw of Westport, his fiancé Pamela Moriarty; Otto Shaw, his wife Mary of Brockton and a daughter, Barbara Claff and her husband Mark of Marion. She was the Grandmother of nine grandchildren and twelve Great Grandchildren. A funeral service will be private. Interment Pleasant Street Cemetery will be private.
