Arthur S. Chadbourne, 81, of Cooper Hill Road, Mapleville, a retired machinist, died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Doreen A. (Broadbent) Chadbourne.
Born in Arlington, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Arthur S. and Maryann (McNeil) Chadbourne. He had been a resident of Mapleville for 22 years.
He had worked for Cleveland Twist Drill in Cranston for 10 years before retiring in 1995. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of the Woonsocket Sportsmen’s Club and the VFW in Burrillville.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters Helena F. Siciliano of Framingham, MA, Mary A. Smith of Hope Valley, three sons Arthur S. Chadbourne, III of Nashua, NH, Edward R. Chadbourne of Mapleville, Paul D. Chadbourne of Pascoag, and seven grandchildren.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 10am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Brigid’s Church, 1231 Plainfield Street, Johnston. Burial with military honors will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm.
