Mildred T. Williamson, age 98, passed away Sunday, January 06, 2008 at the Yalobusha County Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS. She was born December 27, 1909 in Yalobusha County, MS to George and Annie Mae Hardy Trayser. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Water Valley, MS.
The visitation will be in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 from 12 to 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Henry Chapel at Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 with Rev. Freddie Moorman and Rev. Brad Sartor officiating. Committal will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Wally Williamson, David Williamson, Bill Williamson, Sonny King, Brett Bonner, George Sheldon, John Caldwell, and Brad Van Winkle serving as pallbearers.
She is survived by a daughter, Geanie (Crip) Tyler of Water Valley, Mississippi; two sons, Taylor G. (Marjorie) Williamson and George W. “Tuffy” Williamson, both of Water Valley, MS; ten grandchildren, Dana Williamson, Tracey Williamson, Kelley Henning, Nancy Tyler, Mary B. Tyler, John Caldwell, Wally Williamson, David Williamson, Bill Williamson, and Kristi Mayer; thirteen great grandchildren, Dakota King, Dylan Dorris, Twinkle Van Winkle, Braden Sheldon, John Michael Caldwell, Ian Williamson, Celina Bowles, Tayler Mayer, Anna Claire Williamson, Lindsay Austin, Jessica Glick, Anne Marie Williamson, and Ali Williamson; eleven great-great grandchildren, Rosemarie V. Murphy, George Lawson Sheldon, III, Nick, Dorian, Killian, and Conner Williamson, Katy Bowles, Lane Thomas Potts, Addie Claire Austin, Brennan Allen, and Tristian Glick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Annie Mae Hardy Trayser; her husband, Arthur Gilbert Williamson (2-5-1972); three brothers, Shofner Trayser, Fred Trayser, and Frank Trayser; four sisters, Della T. Holcombe, Melissa T. Thompson, Louise T. Brown, and Viola T. Sartor; and her daughter-in-law, Minnie Williamson.
