Billy Joe Sims, age 56, passed away Saturday, January 05, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, North MS in Oxford, MS. He served in the United States Navy and was a 100% disabled veteran. He was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Church in Lafayette County, MS.
The visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 from 2 to 3 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 with Reverend C. H. Newcomb and Reverend David Ross officiating. The committal will be held in the Campground Cemetery of Water Valley, MS with Stacy Sims, Steven Michelletti, Bo Prince, Brad Jenkins, Jr., Chris Jenkins, and William Beard, II serving as pallbearers.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Sims; a daughter, Samantha Sims; a son, Casey Sims, two brothers, Robert Sims and James Sims, and 2 grandchildren, all of Water Valley, MS.
Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Sims and Adrian Virginia Crawley Sims.
