Barbara Ann Blakely, age 61, passed away Saturday, January 05, 2008 at her home in Water Valley, MS. She was born September 20, 1946 in Pontotoc, MS to Hardin and Margie Walker Jones. She was a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Lafayette County.
The visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Anchor Baptist Church on Highway 7 at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 with Dr. Gerald Shook officiating. Committal will be in the Anchor Cemetery in Lafayette County with Danny Briscoe, Keith Brown, Mark Brown, Jeff Nelson, Mike McPhail, Chris Lee, Jim White, and Ronnie Crenshaw serving as pallbearers.
She is survived by her husband, David Blakely of Water Valley, MS; three sons, Shane Blakely of Southaven, MS; Jason Blakely and Andrew Blakely of Water Valley, MS; twelve foster sons; her mother, Margie Walker Jones of Oakland, MS; one sister, Connie Henderson of Water Valley, MS: and one brother, Tim Jones of Oakland, MS.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hardin Jones.
