JOHN E. BOSSIJohn E. Bossi of Newton Centre, 80, a retired contractor, died Monday January 20, 2003 at his home.Born in Boston, he had lived in Newton for 50 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II, and graduated from Boston University. He worked as a homebuilder with his father in the Newton, Brookline, and Weston areas. He was also an avid sports fan.He is survived by his wife of 50 years Phyllis J. (Shaw) Bossi, his daughtersAnn M. Bossi and her fiancee Joseph D. Spagnuolo of Newton Centre and Linda L. Bossi and her fiancee Robert Pignatelli of Watertown, his brother Paul V. Bossi and his wife Claire of Orleans. He is also survived by his special nephew Barry Robbins and his wife Toni of FL and several other nieces and nephews.A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday Jan 24 at Noon in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church Newton Upper Falls. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Roxbury.
