Rose (Ciccarelli) Barile died Thursday January 3, 2008 at the Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield after a brief illness. She was 83 years of age.
Born in the Bronx, New York, Rose was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Domeninca (Scarcia) Ciccarelli. She moved to Pittsfield at the age of two. She was a graduate of Pittsfield High School Class of 1942. She was a wrapper and packer for Schaeffer Eaton Textron until retiring in 1987.
She was a communicant at Mount Carmel Church and loved traveling, singing,dancing, bingo and listening to Frank Sinatra whom she saw in concert as a young girl.
Rose was the wife of the late Michael D. Barile. She was the mother of Michele Sweet, Beverly Dubiski, Rozann McCarthy all of Pittsfield, Karen Barile of Dalton, Ralph A. Barile and his wife Luanne of Stoneham and the late Michael D. Barile. She was the grandmother Bill, Eric, Geoffrey, Blythe-Ann, David, Ralph, Kevin, Donald, Scott, Angela and great grandmother of Zachary, Chloe, Cooper, Zoe, Emma and Grace.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Rose on Monday January 7 at 10 am in Mt. Carmel Church, Fenn St. Pittsfield. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Mass celebrating Rose's life Saturday, January 19 at 1 pm in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central Street, STONEHAM.
