Mr. Vernon Gore Jr. was born December 9, 1964, to Gloria Sanford Hereford and the late Vernon Gore Sr. He departed this life on January 5, 2008 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted mother, Gloria Sanford Hereford of Huntsville, Alabama; stepfather, Deacon Sammie Hereford of New Market, Alabama; four sisters: Mary Stevenson of Toney, Alabama, Yvonne Cox of Killeen Texas, Margaret Hereford (Larry) and Dianne Alexander, both of Huntsville, Alabama; two brothers: Larry Sanford (Anne Marie) of Petersburg, Tennessee, and Rusty Hereford (Missy) of Huntsville, Alabama; a devoted grandmother: Julie Pinchon of New Market, Alabama; eight aunts: Linda Toney of Madison, Alabama, Ret. US MC Gunnery Sgt. Charlie Mae Pinchon of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Carolyn Newton (Ron), Rosie Chapman, Marie Pinchon (Thad), Cathy Goode (Victor), all of Huntsville, Alabama, Betty Pinchon (Thomas), Patricia Campbell (Leslie), both of New Market, Alabama; one great uncle, Robert Steele of Huntsville, Alabama; a special friend, Barry Holmes; a special godmother, Sherri Crutcher; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Vernon R. Gore will be held Saturday, January 12 at 12:00 Noon from Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lester Baker officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove New Market.
