Pappalardo, Elvira, age 62, of Leonia, died Thursday, January 3, 2008. Beloved wife of Edward Pappalardo. Devoted mother of Matthew. Dearest sister of Alice DeCosta. Vera had a Masters Degree in Urban Education and taught for 34 years in the Jersey City school system. After retirement, Vera worked as a student mentor and also as an adjunct student teacher supervisor at the New Jersey City University. Vera also served on several committees of the HCREA. Vera had a love of life and will be greatly missed. The family will receive their friends on Monday, January 7 from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM and from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd, Teaneck, NJ. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at St. John’s Church in Leonia at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
