Obituary

Devoted husband to Carol R. Weber for 34 years. Bill and Carol lived in Manomet for eight years and they lived in Scituate for 27 years. Loving father to three children; Lauren K. Gallagher of Reading, MA, Gregory S. Winsper of Madison, NH and Jeffrey S. Winsper of Norwell, MA.. Loving grandfather to Jeffrey Winsper, Jennie Winsper, Brendan Winsper, Caroline Winsper and Lily Winsper. Son of William G. Weber Sr and Evelyn Jane O’Reilly (Weber) of Sandwich, MA. In 1969, founded Weber Temple Magruder, an advertising and marketing firm in Weymouth, MA. His entrepreneurial spirit lead him to start a few other companies such as Weymouth Woodcrafters and Kit and Kaboodle. Bill also worked for BASF, Waltham, MA; ICI America, Stamford, CT; and Reed and Barton Silversmiths, Taunton, MA. In his retirement years, Bill was a realtor for Plymouth Village Reality and Nick Dacos Realty in Pine Island, FL. Bill enjoyed epicurean cooking, salt water flat-fishing, gardening, wood craftsmanship, especially framing and matting for his wife’s watercolor paintings. As an wavid golfer, Bill starting playing golf at age seven at Highland Country Club in Attleboro, MA. He was a Cape Cod Pre-AM league member for nearly forty years, a twenty year member for Hatherly Country Club, North Scituate, MA and a recent starter for Pinehills Country Club. Bill graduated from Dean Academy in Franklin, MA in 1955, the 3rd from last graduating class of the Academy. Bill also attended Providence College and Boston University majoring in photojournalism. He also was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Bonaventure’s Parish and a Jordan Hospital volunteer. A funeral mass will be held on Monday January 7th at St. Bonaventure’s Church in Plymouth at 10AM. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home. 619 State Rd (Rt. 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Sunday January 6th from 2 to 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Cranberry Area Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Cr. Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360 or to the American Cancer Society – Plymouth Unit, 1115 W. Chestnut St, Brockton, MA 02301.
