Mary L. Dupere, 77, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, January 03, 2008, in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry following a brief battle with cancer. Mary was born on April 8, 1930 in Worcester, MA, a daughter of John Jerome and Catherine (Fullen) Griffin. She graduated from North High School in Worcester. Mary married Armand P. Dupere, Sr. on September 8, 1951. Mary, along with her husband and children, were residents of Londonderry, NH for 30 years, where she was a communicant of St. Jude Parish, before moving to Jefferson, NH. She and her husband moved back to Derry in 2005, residing at Nutfield Heights Senior Center. Mary was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved taking care of her children, grandchildren and her gardens.
In addition to her husband of 56 years, she is survived by six sons, John Dupere and his wife Elaine of Strafford, NH, William Dupere and his wife Judith of Manchester, NH, Raymond Dupere and his wife Sandra of Newbury, NH, Philip Dupere of Derry, Peter Dupere of Weare, NH, and Armand Dupere, Jr. and his wife Christine of Barrington; two daughters, Rosemary and her husband Kenneth Boisvert of Gorham, NH, Elizabeth and her partner Paul Raiti of Lee, NH; 10 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters, Barbara Trombley of Columbia, ME, and Agnes Quaglieri of Shrewsbury, MA. She was predeceased by a sister, Claire Hallisey and a brother Daniel Griffin.
Calling hours were held on Friday, January 4th from 3 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. The burial was in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Derry/Salem Home Health and Hospice Services, 1E Commons Dr., Unit 31, Londonderry, NH 03053.
