Marie C. Lincoln died Tuesday, Christmas day, at the Meadow Green Nursing Center in Waltham. She was 89.
Mrs. Lincoln was a talented cook. She worked for the Maryknoll Fathers of Chestnut Hill and after 25 years of service she then went onto cook in the rectory of St. Joseph parish in Belmont. She was well known as an excellent cook who delighted her diners with welcoming comfort foods.
Born in Canada, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine George. She was raised in Medford, MA and also resided in the communities of Milbury, Winchester, Woburn and Watertown.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank A. Lincoln. She was a devoted mother to Janet M. Gibbs and her husband Steven of Mill Valley, CA. She was a loving grandmother to Sara M. Gibbs of California and Emily F. Gibbs-Moraga of Hawaii.
Her Funeral will be held Saturday, January 5 from the Dello Russo Funeral Home,306 Main St., Medford at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Friday from 4-8.
