Obituary

Frances A. Leary, 77, passed away at the Oosterman Rest Home in Wakefield on January 2nd, 2008. She was born on January 25th, 1929 to her parents John and Mary (McBride) Dunn. Aside from her stay in Wakefield, Frances has been a life long resident of Malden. She is a graduate of Immaculate Conception Grammar School and Girls Catholic High School. She has been a life long parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Malden where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Frances was a volunteer at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford and was a former lunch mother at the Immaculate Conception School and the Emerson School in Malden. She was also a member of the 910 Club. Frances is survived by her children; Eugene C. Leary and his wife Elly of Naples, FL; Patrick J. Leary of Hancock, NH; Janice A. Crowley and her husband Bill of Medford; Joanne M. Leary of Arcadia, CA; Elizabeth R. Yager and her husband Brian of Puyallup, WA and Dr. Michele F. Leary-Searer and her husband Gary of Arcadia, CA; and by her brother James Dunn of Warminster, PA; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene T. Leary and her siblings Mary Dooley, John, Jeanne and Ruth Dunn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden on Saturday Jan. 5th at 10:30 AM followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 4th from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to the Oosterman Rest Home, 706 Main St., Wakefield, MA 01880.
