In Taunton, January 1, 2008 Cecelia "CeCe" died after a lengthy illness at the age of 80. She was the wife of the late Robert J. McGuire Sr. and the daughter of the late August & Julia (Thomas) Barber. Cecelia was born in Taunton and lived there her entire life, most recently on Winter St. She was educated in schools in Taunton, Graduated from St. Mary’s High School and attended business school. Cecelia was most happy spending time at home with her family especially her Grandchildren. She is survived by her three children Robert J. McGuire and his wife Joanne of Raynham, Robin J. McGuire and his wife Susan of Pascoag, RI. And Richard J. McGuire and his wife Jane of Taunton. Her Grandchildren Michelle, David & Michael McGuire all of Raynham, Eli Delvalle of Tiverton, RI., Amy McGuire & her fiancée Josh Matos of Taunton, Daniel McGuire of Pascoag, RI. Recently discharged after serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. Nicholas & Timothy McGuire of Taunton. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Sat., Jan. 5th at 10am. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church in Taunton at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Fri. from 5-8pm. Interment in Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton. Donations in Cecelia’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN. 38105.
