Raymond E. Connell, 60, of Mansfield died unexpectedly on Tuesday January 1, 2008 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA
Born in Boston, MA on June 12, 1947 he was a son of the late Roy and Evelyn (Hogan) Connell.
He grew up Brookline, Brighton and Wayland and was a graduate of Wayland High School. Mr. Connell had been employed as a Patient Accounts Analyst at the Faulkner Hospital in the Jamaica Plain Section of Boston for nearly 30 years.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Ray enjoyed the scenic trips taken throughout the country by train and car and especially the trips taken to Disney World and visiting with his loving family in Florida. He had a sweet tooth for collecting Disney World memorabilia.
Mr. Connell had made his home in Mansfield for over 30 years.
He was predeceased by his brother and sister, surviving are several nieces and nephews including James H. “Butch” Campbell, Jr. and his family of Kissimmee, Florida.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday January 7th at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday January 6th from 4-7 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
