Margaret A. (Riley) Hanley, a resident of Melrose for more than 50 years, died on Monday, December 31, 2007, at Epoch Senior HealthCare in Melrose after a brief illness. She was 95 years old.
Margaret was born in Beverly on June 4, 1912. She grew up in Lynn where she attended Lynn Public Schools and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lynn. She graduated from Northeastern University and recieved her degree in pharmacy. Margaret worked at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose for 15 years as thier Chief Pharmacist and at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Brighton for 17 years as a Pharmacist and was Preceptor for pharmacy students at Kennedy Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Northeasten University Alumni Association.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday morning, January 4, 2007, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, Melrose, followed by her Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
