Alexandrina T. "Alice" (Thomas) Chevalier, 84, of New Bedford died Monday December 31, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Albert N. "Al" Chevalier; they had been married for 60 years.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Leonel and Alexandrina (Perry) Thomas, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Mrs. Chevalier was formerly employed by Calvin Clothing for 45 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed shopping, the Boston Red Sox, Larry Bird, and the company of her cats and her dog, Koko.
Survivors include her husband; her brother, Leonel "Leo" Thomas of New Bedford; three nieces, who were like daughters, Sandra Giammalvo and Shirley Smith and her husband Charles, all of New Bedford, and Janice Perron and her husband John of Fairhaven; a nephew, Thomas Giammalvo and his wife Maggie of New Bedford; and her godchild, Donald Chevalier and his wife Laura of New Bedford.
She was the aunt of the late James Giammalvo.
