Beverly A. (Stetson) Pace 73 died Saturday December 29th in Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of Charles F. Pace.
Born in Vermont she was the daughter of Flora E. (Ross) Stetson of Whitman and the late Linwood Stetson.
She was brought up in Whitman and a graduate of Whitman High in 1952, and later attended Pierce Business School in Boston. She worked as a legal secretary for the late Attorney George Brouillard for 32 years.
She was an active community member having served as secretary for the Whitman Planning Board and Housing Authority and a member of the Congregational Church of Whitman. She was also a member of the Brockton Legal Secretaries Association.
Beverly was a member and past Matron of the Eastern Star Chapter # 89, a Deputy Grand Matron of Massachusetts Grand Chapter of the OES, President of the 89ers Organization of the OES, as well as a member of other Eastern Star Associations. She was also a member of the Hons Association of Leppo Shrine and the Minutemen Ladies of the Leppo Shrine.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her children; Bernard Pace and his wife Marsha of Whitman, Fred Pace and his wife Kim of Brockton, Charles Pace and his wife Mildred of Whitman, Wayne Pace and his wife Gail of Taunton, Corrine Maloney and her husband Dennis of Taunton, and Dawn Brasingame and her husband Larry of Texas, her brother John Stetson and his wife Carol of Orlando, FL, many grandchildren, two nieces and 1 grand nephew.
Her funeral service will be held Friday, January 4th at 12 noon in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be at a late date. Visiting hours will be held Thursday January 3rd from 4-8 PM.
