Mary E. Cordeiro, 91 of Derry, NH died December 28, 2007 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Derry. Mrs. Cordeiro was born in Fall River, MA on December 3, 1916 the daughter of the late William and Alice (Bowers) Lowney. She moved to Derry in 1996 from W. Palm Beach, FL where she had lived for 25 years. Mrs. Cordeiro had also lived in Belmont, MA. She was a member of the Senior Friends in Derry and enjoyed playing Bingo.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Cordeiro of Derry, three grandchildren, Jeffrey Cordeiro of Litchfield, NH, Joseph Cordeiro of Derry and Julie Hicks of Londonderry, as well as two great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph C. Cordeiro in 1999 and by her son, William J. Cordeiro in 2004.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday January 4, 2007 at 10:00am in Holy Cross Church, 187 Hampstead Rd., Derry.
