Mary Elizabeth McMillian Ray, 51, died Friday, December 28, 2007, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2007, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Herman Walker will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 30, 2007, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Ray was born on April 25, 1956 in Tift County and was the daughter of Otis Lee McMillian and Idell Wilcox McMillian, both deceased. She was a self-employed hairdresser and of the Methodist faith.
Ms. Ray is survived by a special friend, Douglas Winfield Conley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Nikki Ray of Ashburn, and David and Kaycee Ray of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; one brother, Jessie Lee McMillian of Nashville; two grandsons, Will Ray of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and Andrew Ray of Ashburn; and one niece, Sallie Murphy.
