Johanna Irmgard Schulze, 89, of Derry, NH, died Friday, December 28, 2007 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. Mrs. Schulze was born in Chemnitz, Germany on September 3, 1918, a daughter of the late Max Paul and Karolina (Gentner) Schmidt. She was a resident of Derry and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester.
She is survived by one daughter, Caroline Schulze and her husband Kenneth Merrill of Derry; two grandsons, Morgan Gaythorpe and Evan Gaythorpe both of Derry; and a nephew Victor Schulze and his wife Agnes Schulze and their extended family of Brentwood, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Hans Schulze.
Following cremation a memorial service was held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 673 Weston Road, Manchester. The burial will be in the spring in Queens, New York. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 673 Weston Street, Manchester, NH 03103. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
