Bourne - Grace A. (Chandler) DeAndrade, 95, of Westport passed away Monday, December 24, 2007 at Bourne Manor. She was the widow of Frank DeAndrade.
Born in N. Attleboro, daughter of the late Marcellus F. and Grace L. (Cornell) Chandler, she had lived in Westport for most of her life. She graduated in 1934 from the Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Prior to her retirement in the 1950’s, she was the Town of Westport Public Health Nurse who established the Well Baby Clinic and the School Dental Clinic. Mrs. DeAndrade was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in South Dartmouth and a member of the Westport Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a son: Floyd R. DeAndrade of John’s Island, SC; a daughter: Elaine G. Robin of Bourne; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Malcolm Chandler.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral from 9 - 10 A.M.
Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
