Anthony J. Biello, age 81 of Swansea. Widower of Jeannette (Belanger)Biello. Son of the late Anthony & Mary Julia (Oliveira) Biello. Passed away in Fall River Dec. 26, 2007. Born in Fall River, he was a Swansea resident for 45 years & a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Before retiring, he was a Diesel Mechanic at Halls Transportation of Smithfield, RI & previously for Hemingway Transportation Co. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by 4 children: Anthony J. Biello Jr. & Lory Lavoie both of Westport, Christine Prevost of Fall River & Gail Prue of Wappingers Falls, NY; 3 siblings: Richard Biello of Swansea, Norman Biello of FL & Dorothy Harris of Fall River; 5 Grandchildren: Michael & Deanna Prue, Holly Lavoie, Ashley & Joshua Prevost; several nieces & nephews. He was father of the late John A. Biello & brother of the late William, Gabriel N. & Roland Biello.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Monday at 8:45 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 3-7 PM.
