Harold Moorehead, age 89, of Paris, MS died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – N MS in Oxford, MS. Harold was born November 3, 1918 in Lafayette Co., MS to the late Linder and Eliza Hollowell Moorehead. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army and a Baptist.
The visitation will be held Sunday, December 29, 2007 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 29, 2007 at 2:00 a.m. in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Gene Foshee. The committal will be held in Paris Cemetery in Paris, MS with Blake Moorehead, Chris Moorehead, Matt Moorehead, Derek Smallwood, Sam Guest, and Scott Moorehead serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Moorehead is survived by his wife, Maggie Moorehead of Paris, MS; two sons, Harold Moorehead of Greenwood, MS and Jeff Moorehead of Paris, MS; a step-daughter, Glenda Smallwood of Hernando, MS; a step-son, Ron Guest of Oxford, MS; a sister, Morene McCullar of Southaven, MS; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Mr. Moorehead was preceded in death by a sister, Mikie Webster and brother, Harry Moorehead.
