Mr. Naoum Halamoutis passed away Saturday December 22 at Memorial Hospital in Miramar, Florida.
He was born July 5, 1935 in Macedonia, Greece a son of the late Nicholas and Sultana (Papakosta) Halamoutis. Husband of forty-nine years to the late Electra (Contaxes) Halamoutis who died April 9, 2007.
Mr. Halamoutis came to Lowell at the age of sixteen. He worked as a bridge painter for many years and branched off in the later years to own and operate his own bridge painting business.
He was a member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of Dracut.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Bucknam and her husband David, Debbie Capua two sons, Nick Halamoutis , George Halamoutis and his wife Christine, all of Pembroke Pines, Florida; a brother, George Karafilidis of Lowell and a sister, Anastasia Krikoris of Lowell; twelve grandchildren, Kendra Halamoutis of Dracut, Makayla Halamoutis of Florida, George Halamoutis of Florida, Naoum Halamoutis of Lowell, Nicholas Halamoutis of New Hampshire, Christopher Halamoutis of New Hampshire, Nicole Bucknam, Brittnay Bucknam, Michael Bucknam, Matthew Bucknam, James Capua, and Christina Capua all of Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Friends will be received at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME 295 Pawtucket St. Lowell on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will take place on Saturday at 9am from the Funeral Home to be followed by services at the Assumption of Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of Dracut at 10 a.m. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
