Doris M. (Noble) Clem, 90, died at Bay Path Nursing Home in Duxbury on Tuesday, December 25 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Thomas Clem. Born in Dorchester, she was raised and educated in Quincy. She was a resident of Kingston for 4 years after living in Stoughton for 50 years. Mrs. Clem was a secretary for Mason-Neiland Co. in Norwood for over 30 years then worked for Cross Point Engineering in Westwood for 10 years before retiring 5 years ago. She also worked at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy when she was in her 20’s. In her free time she enjoyed reading newpapers and shopping.
Mrs. Clem is survived by her children, Neil R. Clem of SC and Patricia Skehan of Grafton, as well as her grandchildren, Michelle McGrath of Kingston with whom she lived, Tracy Degachi, Laura Skehan, Chase Clem and Kelly Padgett and her sister, Eleanor Sandberg of Cohasset. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret Laugelle and John Noble, Jr. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
A Traditional Catholic Latin Mass will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, December 29 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Donations in Dot’s memory may be made to Society of the Little Flower, 1313 Frontage Rd., Darien, IL 60561 or to the Society of St. Pius X, Regina Coeli, 11485 N. Farley Rd., Platte City, MO, 60479. Burial will take place at Dry Pond Cemetery in Stoughton.
