WORCESTER-Harry “Junior” Longwell, Jr., 71, of the Ana Maria Rest Home formerly of the Schussler Rest Home died Sunday, January 19th in UMass Memorial Healthcare/Memorial Campus after a short illness. He leaves 2 brothers, Arthur I. Longwell of Worcester and Malcolm C. Longwell of North Brookfield; 2 sisters, Virginia R. Seger of Ahwanee, CA and June H. Stewart of Biddeford, ME; several nephews and nieces. 2 brothers, Russell W. and Bob Longwell predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Harry and Harriett (Williams) Longwell. He attended schools in Worcester and Rutland. He worked as a mover for Longwell Movers in Worcester for many years. Previously he worked for the Allen Foundary Co. in Barre. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 23rd at 12:30 PM in the chapel of the UMass Memorial Healthcare/Memorial Campus, 119 Belmont Street. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 23rd at 1:15 PM in Hope Cemetery. O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester is directing the arrangements.
