Obituary

Dolores (Costello) Dietrich of Derry, New Hampshire, formerly of Medford, Massachusetts, died at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry on Sunday, December 23, 2007. She was 75 years old.
Born in South Boston, Massachusetts, on August 11, 1932, Dolores was the oldest of ten children. She was a beloved daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Crowley) Costello. Mrs. Dietrich was an avid and long time parishioner of St. James Parish in Medford where she was a member of the women’s guild and on the parish bowling league. She was also a strong supporter of the St. Joseph Grenadier's and a member of the St. Joseph's Mother's Club. She was employed for more than 30 years as a special needs and ship-to-shore operator for AT&T. Above all, she was a very devoted family person and was always there to help anyone in need. She also loved to play poker and was a very caring person.
She will be sorely missed by her beloved nine children; Nancy R. Dietrich of Minnesota, Regina C. Pagan of Boston, Marlene F. Poehler Georgia, Richard W. Dietrich of Derry, N.H., Leonard J. and his wife Janet E. Dietrich of Medford, Charles T. Dietrich Georgia, Diane M. and her husband Robert V. Spirito of Derry, N.H., Heidi A. Dietrich Everett and Pamela M. and her husband Stan Noble of Georgia, five devoted siblings; Carol Castle and Jack and Tom Costello, all of Florida, David Costello of Medford and Elizabeth O’Flagherty of Las Vegas, nine cherished grandchildren; Joshua, Danielle, Kenneth, Kristina, Julie, Kevin, Emily, Bobby and Nicole, two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was also the sister of the late Maureen Hughes, Ruth “Bunny” Hadaller, Charles “Chick” Costello and James Costello.
Her funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Friday, December 28, 2007, at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 11 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were Thursday, December 27, 2007, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
