North Andover, Ma. – Joseph C. Sexton, 79, died on his birthday December 21st at the Prescott House in North Andover.
Born in Lawrence he was the son of Charles and Margaret (Clohessy) Sexton. Joseph was a 1946 graduate of Central Catholic High School. For many years before retiring he was in charge of Quality Control with Textron of Wilmington.
Mr. Sexton was a communicant of Saint Monica Church of Methuen and was called a good family man who enjoyed golfing, swimming, and gardening.
A longtime resident of Methuen Joseph was the widower of Barbara J. (Gebo) Sexton, and is survived by three sons, Daniel J. & his wife Kathleen A. Sexton of Methuen, Sean T. & his wife Kathleen Greenler Sexton of Middleton, Ma. and Michael T. & wife Kelley Sexton of Windham, NH, two grandchildren Jessica & Alex Sexton also of Windham, NH, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday morning at 10:30 A.M. in Saint Monicas Church with burial to follow in Saint Marys Cemetery of Lawrence.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street of Methuen.
