Obituary

Olga (DeFrancisco) Pinzon, 82 of Franklin died December 22 in her home following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Jorge Pinzon.
Born in Bogotá, Columbia, February 26, 1925 the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Alford) DeFrancisco, Mrs. Pinzon was raised in Columbia and had lived in Franklin since 1966.
Mrs. Pinzon had worked in the mail room at the Digital Company for many years before retiring.
As a young woman in Columbia, Mrs. Pinzon had raced autos in professional car races.
Mrs. Pinzon was active in many activities at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin.
She is survived by her sons, Jorge Pinzon of Windsor, CT, Enrique Pinzon of Cumberland, RI and German Pinzon of Clinton, NC.
She is also survived by her brothers, Arturo DeFrancisco of Franklin, Mario DeFrancisco of Hendersonville, NC, her sisters, Nancy Borda of Bogotá, Columbia, Clara Denyer of Franklin and Connie Lievano of Milford, her grandchildren, Andrew, Diana, Marc, Nathan and Mariah and her great-grandson, Nicholas.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 27 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St., Franklin at 8:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00.
Burial will be private.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice, 3 Edgewater Drive, Norwood, MA 02062.
