WORCESTER-Our beloved mom, Dorothy Mae (Carlson) Pachanian, 72, of Worcester, MA passed on peacefully Friday, Dec. 21 in the Rose Monahan Home after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Zaven A. Pachanian, who died in 1999. They had been married for 48 years.
She leaves a son, Alan A. Pachanian of New York; four daughters, Linda L. Kotsopoulos and her husband Nicholas of Petersham, Nancy M. Vigneau and her husband John of South Yarmouth, Susan D. Bahnan and her husband Jack of Worcester, Wendy R. Bigelow and her husband Richard of West Brookfield; 10 grandchildren, Adam Kotsopoulos and his wife Melinda of Gilbertville, Erik and Kyle Kotsopoulos, Katelyn and Stephen Vigneau, Arianna, Gabriel, and Rachel Bahnan, Timothy and Christina Bigelow; one great-grandchild, Damon Kotsopoulos; two brothers, Raymond Carlson of Millbury and Robert Carlson of West Boylston, and two sisters, Phyllis Chase of Worcester and Gail Usher of Auburn. She was predeceased by a brother, Harold Carlson, and a sister, Evelyn Lorusso. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Arthur J. and Myrtle Mable (Peterson) Carlson, and lived here most of her life. She worked at Anderson Company for 24 years, retiring in 2000.
She devoted her life to raising her family and always enjoyed the holidays and family get-togethers when she was able to spend time with all her grandchildren. She was a beautiful person and always said life goes on.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Armenian Church of Our Saviour.
