Obituary

SALEM - Elaine M. Pelletier, 56, of Salem, died Friday morning, December 21, 2007 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, following a long illness.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. & Alice (Berube) Pelletier. A lifelong resident of the city, she was a graduate of St. James High School in the Class of 1969.

Elaine was currently employed at Specialized Receivables, Inc., in Wakefield. She previously was employed as an x-ray clerk at the former Lynn Hospital, where she worked for 18 years.

For many years, Elaine suffered from Crohn’s Disease. In 2004, she also was diagnosed with small bowel cancer. She fought a courageous battle against her afflictions until the very end. Her co-workers at Specialized Receivables hold a special place in her heart for the devotion and compassion that they showed her as she dealt with her illnesses.

Elaine is survived by one brother, Philip Pelletier of Salem, and with whom she resided, one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara & Richard Hincman of Somersworth, NH, her nephew & Godson, Christopher and his wife Amy George and their sons, Carter George and Aidan George, all of Lynn. She was especially devoted to her “niece” Molli!

Her funeral service will be held Monday, December 24, 2007 at 10 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, North Street, Route 114, Salem, at the Peabody line. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 6 pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial is in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
