John R. Brolin, 58

Dateline: Milford, MA

John R. “Jack” Brolin, 58, of Milford formerly of Bellingham, Mansfield and Dedham died on Friday December 21, 2007 at home surrounded by the loving care of his devoted family.
Born in Boston, MA on June 2, 1949 he was a son of the late Malcolm and Pauline (Guiod) Brolin.
He grew up in Dedham and was a 1967 graduate of Dedham High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged in 1973 with the rank of SP4.
Mr. Brolin had worked as a dispatcher for the Bose Corporation in Framingham for 20 years and had formerly been employed as a Firefighter/ EMT for the Mansfield Fire Department for 11 years.
An avid New England Sports Enthusiast, Jack’s hobbies included auto body repair, gardening and landscape projects in his yard, He loved cooking and was a big fan of Frank Sinatra music.
He is survived by his devoted children; James Brolin of Hyde Park, Jill Fallon of Blackstone and Jaclyn Brolin of Milford, his beloved companion Dottie Moran of Plainville, his dear siblings; Dennis Brolin of Attleboro, Patricia LeVangie of Walpole, Mary Pacella of Foxboro, Kathleen Brolin of Attleboro and Robert Brolin of Haverhill, his cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Jocelyn and Devin Fallon all of Blackstone, his former wife Janet S. (Kostecki) Brolin as well as many nieces and nephews.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday December 27th at 9:30 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will private.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday December 26th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers Jack’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the DAV Memorial Program P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
