WORCESTER____Miss Florence B. Dusak, 97, of Worcester died Tuesday December 18, 2007 in Holy Trinity Nursing Center.
Miss Dusak a former Office Manager at Universal-Cyclops Specialty Steel Division, retired in 1975 after 29 years of service. She went to Universal Cyclops after 17 years as secretary at the Wickwire Spencer Steel Company that relocated to Denver, Colorado.
Miss Dusak leaves several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by seven sisters and one brother. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Joseph and Louise (Gut) Dusak and lived here all her life.
Miss Dusak was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and served on its Parish Council and was a member and served a term as president of its Woman’s Club. She was a member of the Worcester Business & Professional Woman’s Club, The Massachusetts Citizen’s Rights Association, Inc., organized to counteract legislation to fluoridate waters, she was a member of the Natural Foods Association and a life member of the National Health Federation, dedicated to the protection of health freedoms. She was also a member of the Worcester County Mechanics Association and of the American Association of Retired Persons.
The funeral will be held on Saturday December 22, 2007 with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 43 Belmont Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling period will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass Saturday in Our Lady of Fatima Church. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
