Obituary

Douglas—Robert P. Derderian, Sr., 70, formerly of Northboro, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at UMass Lake Ave. His wife Edna (White) Derderian, died in 2003. He leaves 4 sons and 4 daughters, Robert P. Derderian, Jr., and his wife Susan of Douglas, with whom he lived, Ronald E. Derderian and his wife Julie of Charlton, Lisa Rivett and her husband Robert of Charlton, Sheryl A. Derderian and her partner Wraye Dugunogi of Hatfield, Tina Urato and her husband Kenneth of Marlboro, Joni Sutterthwaite and Tim Neagle of Litchfield, ME, and Robert Derderian and his wife Beck of Kingston, NC; a brother, Harry Derderian, Jr. of Worcester; his cousin Alfred Kary of VA;and many other cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Robert was born in Worcester, son of Harry and Edith L. (Richardson) Derderian, Sr., and grew up on Bell Hill. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Lion Distributors as a truck driver for more than 25 years, was a member of Local 170 Teamsters Union, and Hilltoppers Sportsmen’s Club.

Funeral Services will be held 9:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assn., 330 Congress St, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
