DANVERS - Wanda (Burak) Kasenenko, 94, of Danvers, formerly of Salem, wife of the late Edward W. Kasenenko, died Tuesday morning, December 18, 2007 at her residence.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Aniela (Kopkiewicz) Burak.
Prior to and during the first years of her marriage, she was employed at the High Hat Restaurant in Saugus. She later worked at the A.C. Lawrence Leather Company in Peabody for many years and retired from the Plastic Lace Company in Peabody, where she was employed for 18 years. A resident of Danvers for 80 years, she was a parishioner of the former St. Joseph Church in Peabody and had been a parishioner of the St. Mary of The Annunciation Church in Danvers since the closing of St. Alphonsus Church on the Danvers-Beverly line.
Wanda enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
She is survived by one daughter, Joanne Kasenenko, of Danvers and with whom she resided, a daughter-in-law, Anna Kasenenko of Beverly, two grandchildren, Patrick Kasenenko of Chicopee, Nicki Rice of Beverly, a great grandchild, Cheyenne Rice of Beverly and several nephews and nieces including Patricia McCall of Danvers. She was the mother of the late Joseph S. Kasenenko and sister of the late Louis Burak and Joseph Burak.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday morning, Dec. 22, 2007 at 7:45 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 am at the St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers.
